It has been one week since the IWA 2023 trade show in Nuremberg where manufacturers, retailers, airsoft media and players get together to talk business, see new products and generally make friends all for the betterment of Airsoft. It really is a scaled up version of what we see in the safe zone… “Mate, I haven’t seen you in ages! How’ve you been?”, “Check that RIF out, let me have a closer look?” – it was a lot of fun, a bit of a blur and as we were closing the stand at the end of the show, we were already getting excited for next year.

It had been four years since NUPROL last attended the show, before all of our lives were de-railed by COVID-19. During those difficult years, we at NUPROL launched our premium Gas-Blow-Back brand VORSK (timing! just our luck!) with the initial models landing at the end of 2019, and an array of other models added during the tumultuous COVID years. We’ve always had a quiet confidence about the VORSK brand. We know that they’re great products, with the VORSK styling pushing Airsoft Replicas into new areas and generally offering more options to the Airsoft Community than just your standard Black Replicas. There were naysayers, there were those that thought it couldn’t be done, that Airsoft only had room for 1:1 Black & Tan replicas but we persevered and through the amazing response we have received from the community, we feel justified in having delivered these replicas to the market.
Therefore, since 2019, VORSK had been building up a lot of tension in the line… Across 5 pistol series (EU, Hi-Capa, MEU/1911, VP26 & VM9) there are now 13 models, available as 30 different variations (Railed/ RDS options) for a range of over 300 GBB pistol replicas to choose from. With the VORSK sub-division here at NUPROL designing and manufacturing these replicas, they wanted their own specific gas formulations and thus the VORSK GBB Fuel, V6, V8 & V12 was born and soon had their own ammunition with VORSK BBs. All of these products were appearing in the UK, Europe & USA and people started asking… who are VORSK?
The VORSK brand is a sub-division of NUPROL. Away from the hustle and bustle of the company offices, there is a small design & engineering team kitted out with modern prototyping & design equipment such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) packages, CNC machines, 3D printers and of course, a gun range. It is in this little centre of peace and tranquillity where the thoughts and ideas for new Airsoft Replicas come together and is therefore the birthplace of our latest product, our first Sub-Machine-Gun, the VMP-1.

The VMP-1, what a reception. From players to retailers, media members and old airsoft friends, everyone who saw the VMP-1 at IWA 2023 was sold by its striking looks, functionality and price point. The VORSK team are true believers in GBB Airsoft, and are on a mission to make it a viable primary/ secondary loadout combination and not just play second fiddle to AEGs as a GBB sidearm only. A good friend at the show said to us “GBB Airsoft is the purest form of Airsoft…”, we 100% agree.
The VMP-1 is a Bolt Driven Gas-Blow-Back Sub-Machine-Gun made of a lightweight polymer (with steel internals) and comes with a number of unique features. From the front, there is a beasty, foam-filled suppressor available. This suppressor fits nicely onto a 360° twist & click bayonet compensator making for the removal/ fitting of the suppressor a breeze. The 20mm flat-top includes the green fibre sights, and there is also a short 20mm underbarrel rail plus dual-location 7-Slot rails. Fire controls include an ambidextrous selector switch (semi/full-auto), mag-release & bolt-release. The stock features a reinforced folding hinge, as well as a 15° tilt mechanism on the butt to keep the hop-curve level during corner transitions. Should you wish to swap the stock out, there is an M4 stock tube thread behind the hinge assembly. Its got plenty going for it, and now we’re back from the show, more information will come via our social media pages.
